Fall Cleaning Checklist For Your Business

In order to keep your business looking spick and span year-round, it’s important to deep clean it at least once every season. As fall approaches, we’re sharing a useful fall cleaning checklist for your business for you to reference as you prepare for cooler temperatures and clean up after the summer storms, heat, and all the wear and tear that the season brings.
Give the Floors a Deep Clean
Do you have carpets or rugs in your business? If so, consider hiring a professional to give them a deep clean. Removing dust, spills, stains, and dirt from your carpet or rugs is no easy task, and you’d be surprised how much a clean carpet will brighten up a room and improve its appearance. If your flooring is a hard surface, get out your mop and polish to make it shine! Removing any streaks or scuffs from your flooring and adding a coat of wax or another type of polish can make your floors—quite literally—sparkle.
Get your Air Ducts Inspected
After a growing season full of pollen and other particles in the air, pollutants can find themselves backed up in your air ducts. Be sure to inspect your business’s air ducts while doing your fall maintenance. An inspection ensures that any mold growth is remediated and pollutants are removed, making the air quality better and safer for your employees and your customers.
Clean the Windows
Summer storms have probably left your windows streaky and grimy. To remove all the residue that has been left behind by the elements (and maybe sticky fingers, too), thoroughly clean all windows and doors. If you choose not to hire professional window cleaners, be sure to have a professional-grade window cleaning product, a squeegee, a sponge, and some microfiber cloths on hand.
Dust the Corners and the Fixtures
Although time passes fast, it seems like dust accumulates even faster. When’s the last time you really dusted those hard-to-reach corners or the top of your lighting fixtures? If it’s been a minute, this is your reminder to do so! Catching dust early is always best to minimize the time it has to irritate your employees and customers. Dusting is also satisfying and quite important to make sure your business presents itself well.
