Careful Removal of Materials Affected by Water Damage

Upon their 9:30 AM arrival, Our SERVPRO of Belle Meade West Nashville crew carefully began demo of the affected areas. In order to remove the water damage, 3 sections of the ceiling on the lower level and a section of the ceiling above the laundry room door had to be removed. On the top level, the bathroom ceiling and 3 bathroom walls required removal as well. All areas were then swept, hepa vacuumed and treated with anti microbial. Sometimes when a client experiences severe water damage such as this, the removal of contaminated materials is unavoidable. In these situations, there is a right way and a wrong way to remove the affected materials. It is important to cut clean lines and pay close attention to detail in order to make the process of rebuilding after the affected areas have been removed as easy for the client as possible.
